SMALL GROUPS

Our Small Groups are relational environments that help you grow in your love for God and others. They are where you will be encouraged as a disciple of Jesus and to become more like him through a life of obedient faith.

A discipleship Small Group can help you:

Develop loving and supportive friendships that care for one another

Discover God’s wisdom and direction for our lives through Biblical teaching

Provide a safe space to ask questions, share honestly, and be authentic

Learn how to pray and minister with the Holy Spirit

At DCBC we have a diverse range of Small Groups across different ages and stages in life. They meet regularly at various days, times and locations throughout the city.

We also offer Focused Small Groups which you can read about below.

Focused Small Groups

Find strength in your walk with God by travelling the road together. Connect yourself into our church family as you get to know others.

We meet every Friday, 10am – 12noon at DCBC.

All women welcome. Creche available.

This is a group of men and women 65+ years, who usually meet at 1.30pm every 4th Thursday of the month, at DCBC.

We enjoy fellowship, guest speakers, prayer and afternoon tea.

All welcome!

The mission of the ‘Way Up’ Group is to provide support and friendship for men and women who have been struggling with mental illness, who want to grow in their relationship with Jesus.

The group meets regularly on a Sunday evening at DCBC and also monthly for a Sunday lunch following a church service.

Bringing hope and connection to people living with chronic health conditions.

The purpose of this group is to:

  • Encourage each other in our faith, share struggles, prayer requests and what God is doing in our lives.
  • Look outwards to bring the love and hope of Jesus to those that are suffering.

We have an online community you can join (search on Facebook for “Anchored: Dunedin Chronic Illness Ministry”) and aim to meet in person monthly for those able.

Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another.
