Leadership Structure

DCBC values godly leadership that prayerfully seeks God’s will for His church, cultivates a fruitful discipleship culture, and ensures healthy pastoral care. Our leaders  are responsible to the Church membership for the oversight and direction of the Church.

The Church is autonomous and is governed by its members in accordance with our Constitution, working closely with the Baptist Union of New Zealand, nationally and regionally, and the wider body of Christ.

The Church Leadership consists of:

Elders are the leaders responsible to the members for the spiritual oversight, vision, and well-being of the Church, and are responsible for its governance.

The Senior Pastor is entrusted with leadership of the Church with the Pastoral Leadership Team.

The PLT is responsible for the vision and oversight of the day-to-day running of the Church, and for pastoral care of Church members.

The PFRM will provide oversight of the Church property, finances, legal requirements, health and safety compliance and associated risks for the Leadership.
